One of the easiest (and my personal favorite) ways to reinvigorate my wardrobe for a new year or season is by adding a fresh touch of color to my ensembles. Since this is my favorite subject (I am a bona fide nerd when it comes to color theory), I’m always excitedly looking out for what hues dominate the runway shows and keep a close eye on Pantone’s trend forecasts.
We saw plenty of tried-and-true neutrals on the spring/summer 2025 runways (think navy, beige, black, and white), as well as some unexpected vibrant hues such as emerald green and tangerine, but it was the omnipresent soft, romantic, and pretty hues that caught my eye this year—lead by designers such as Alaïa, Khaite, and Chloé.
Powder pink had a dominating presence on the runways this season, along with soft pastels such as butter yellow and mint—spotted on everything from ethereal sheer separates to pretty lace dresses. An array of gorgeous blue hues sprung up in practically every collection from vibrant cerulean at Miu Miu to baby blue hues at Stella McCartney.
Whether you add a touch of color with an accessory or go for a full head-to-toe look, the colors below will add a pretty touch to your outfits throughout the year ahead. The best part? You don’t have to spend a fortune to lean into the color trends. In fact, I’ve kept all my shopping picks under $100.
Powder Pink
Soft, feminine, and muted shades of pink dominated the runways in pretty fabrications such as satin, organza, and in a whole host of silhouettes, backed by major designers from Alaïa to Khaite, Chanel to Victoria Beckham—to name but a few. Expect to see wearable, delicate powder pink at all our favorite retailers come spring.

Cream
Designers all agreed that the latest neutral hue to take center stage in 2025—albeit in an understated way—is cream. The off-white milky hue showed up in some of the season’s most elegant looks on the runways, in the form of sheer sets to relaxed tailored pieces and pretty lace and satin ensembles. Expect this cashew milk color—with quiet-luxury vibes—to be the It-neutral the fashion set will embrace throughout 2025.
