Former President Trump met with leaders from the Jeff Bezos-owned aerospace company Blue Origin following his speech in Austin, Texas.

The Republican had a short meeting with the aerospace company CEO David Limp and vice president of government relations Megan Mitchell, according to The Associated Press (AP).

The former president’s meeting came on the same das it was reported that The Washington Post would not be endorsing a presidential candidate in the 2024 election. The outlet reported Friday that Bezos, the paper’s billionaire owner, himself made the decision to yank the endorsement of Trump’s rival, Vice President Harris, which the news outlet’s editorial board already prepared.

“We recognize that this will be read in a range of ways, including as a tacit endorsement of one candidate, or as a condemnation of another, or as an abdication of responsibility,” The Post’s publisher Will Lewis wrote in a note to readers, a decision that irritated some staffers.

“That is inevitable. We don’t see it that way. We see it as consistent with the values The Post has always stood for,” he said.

Trump has criticized The Post’s coverage of him, both during his time in office and following his 4-year term.

The paper’s editorial board endorsed Trump’s opponents in 2016 and 2020. It has endorsed a presidential candidate consistently for at least the last 30 years.

The Hill has reached out to Blue Origin and the Trump campaign for comment.
