They’re hanging on coat hooks behind the stylish gals who lounge at Casetta on Sunday afternoons reading books while sipping tea, they’re bundled around film students smoking in huddled groups outside The New School, and they’re being relied on for their cozy warmth and easy polish by theatergoers, bankers, and fashion editors alike.
