I’m a huge Banana Republic fan. The collections get stronger and stronger, filled with modern and forward silhouettes that are incredibly versatile. On that note, I recently spotted these Banana Republic ruched loafers across my social media feeds with content creators praising the relevant design and next-level comfort. I’ve been into the crinkled, ruched designs that labels from The Row to Saint Laurent feature, so naturally, I felt inclined to dig deeper into this Banana Republic pair.
By the time I found them online, many sizes were already sold out. Luckily, my size was still in stock. As I’m writing this, it appears the men’s silhouette is currently sold out, but I’m writing this because the similar version for women, which comes in both ivory and brown still has sizing left, and rings in at $240.
I wore the loafers for the entire weekend while bopping around Chicago for a wedding. I’m not kidding when I say I received multiple compliments on them each day, including at some of the designer stores I visited. A stylist in one of the luxury stores noted the flattering toe shape and the way the popped with long trousers. She was in shock when I mentioned that they weren’t over a thousand dollars like the shoe styles featured in her store, but were under $250 and from Banana Republic. At $240, they’re certainly still an investment, but I’ve already worn them so much—that cost per wear is strong.
Keep scrolling to see how I styled the Banana Republic loafers and shop the remaining styles while you can. I don’t think they’ll won’t be in stock by the end of the week.
