Vice President Harris will make her closing argument to voters one week before Election Day in Washington, D.C., as former President Trump heads to Pennsylvania.
But ahead of that, Trump spoke from his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida late this morning, as his campaign faces a second day of backlash and his team has sought to distance the GOP presidential nominee from comedian Tony Hinchcliffe’s Puerto Rico remarks on Sunday.
Harris will speak Tuesday evening at the Ellipse, the same spot where Trump spoke to his supporters and encouraged them to march to the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Her speech is expected to be a message to voters to move on from Trump and highlight his role in the events of that day.
