Maher insists Trump 'definitely going to lose'

Comedian and TV personality Bill Maher said Friday evening that he is confident former President Trump will lose to Vice President Harris in November.

“I’m not even worried about it,” he said of the election, now less than six weeks away, during a panel discussion on “Real Time with Bill Maher.”

One of his guests, writer Fran Lebowitz, pressed him on the prediction, repeating “You’re not even worried about it?”

“No, not at all,” Maher replied, adding “He’s definitely going to lose. You just feel it.”

The comedian reminded his guests that he had already predicted weeks before that Trump’s chances of getting back into the White House were slim. In a similar segment on his show earlier this month, Maher said the former president was “going to lose.”

At the time, he said he believes he has the credibility to make such a prediction because he had previously been labeled a “Trump alarmist” and was convinced the former president still had a chance even after the release of the “Access Hollywood” tape in which Trump bragged about groping and kissing women without their consent.

Trump has blasted Maher recently for consistently including him as a talking point on his show, calling the host “sloppy and tired.”

“The ratings challenged Bill Maher, on his increasingly boring show on HBO, is really having a hard time coping with TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME,” Trump wrote a week ago on his Truth Social platform. “He is a befuddled mess, sloppy and tired, and every conversation, with B and C list guests, seems to start with, or revert back to, ME!”

Harris currently has a 4.2 point lead over the former president — 50 percent to 45.8 percent — according to The Hill/Decision Desk HQ’s polling index. But recent polling in key battleground states, where the election is likely to be determined, shows the party nominees virtually neck and neck.
